Counselling and Psychotherapy

These are hard times...

...but you don't need to struggle on your own.

From time to time we all struggle. Our thoughts can become jumbled and life seems difficult and sometimes even unbearable. In therapy we can explore your struggles be they old or new and look to identify the roots of your pain.

Who am I?

Counsellor and Psychotherapist

I have long been passionate about Mental Health issues and have dedicated myself to helping others. I have trained over many years and gained experience in dealing with a multitude of problems both complex and simple. What I have learned is that if you are open to the idea of change in your life then you can overcome almost any obstacle in your path. By coming to understand the real root of our problems we can begin to transform how we see them.

Many people are in pain and suffering and I can offer a space in which I will listen to you and let you tell your story, your way. I will not judge you but will seek to understand you and to really see you.

As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist I believe that a blend of various therapeutic approaches can provide a powerful way to meet your unique needs.

Common Mental
Health Problems

Depression, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I have experience in helping others to deal with the common mental health problems that you may be faced with. I want you to know that you are not alone in your times of trouble and that I am here to listen to you. Not to judge and not to condemn but to hear you in your darkest hours and help bring you to a place of understanding.

These may be problems that are related solely to the 'here and now' or they may be as a result of events earlier in your life that are affecting you now.

Together we can identify these issues and work toward a future unburdened by them, leaving you free to live a happier and more fulfilling life.

Trauma

What is it? What can it do?

When we go through very stressful, frightening or distressing events we sometimes experience trauma.

Emotional or psychological trauma relates to how our minds interpret certain situations, events or even relationships. We can be greatly affected by trauma and it can make these things hard to handle.

Traumatic events can happen at any age and can cause long-lasting harm. Everyone has a different reaction to trauma, so you might notice any effects quickly, or a long time afterwards.

What is also true is that you can learn to understand your trauma which can lead to accepting and managing it.
